Bettina Hein & Kirk Arnold Shed the Light: Why You NEED be Part of the MassTLC 2010 Boston unConference

MassTLC unConference MassTLC Innovation 2010 unConference Boston is right around the corner. With a little more than a week away we hope that you have your ticket. But, if you don’t right now you will by the time you are done reading this. We NEED all women entrepreneurs and women experts of Boston at the unConference and this is why.

unConference is not just a regular one-day or one-night event with a planned panel discussion or a planned schedule. We don’t want you to miss your chance to be part of it. We hope for this to be one of the biggest gatherings of entrepreneurial forces and Boston startups this fall. Together you will be part of something bigger than your own project or company, together we will chart a path of connections and ideas to carry on past Thursday, October 14th.

There is a wonderful group of women experts involved in the conference. As a group, the women experts are stimulating all generations of womenpreneurs here in Boston and are energizing the startup scene with a breath of fresh air: the perspective of women. Each day we hear about new and exciting startups here in Boston being created by women. These new entrepreneurs and startupers need the women experts to look up to, to ask questions and to be an overall inspiration. A source of not only knowledge but genuine care in your project or startup.

Bill Warner has been a tremendous force behind the conference and has been running the MassTLC unConference for the past few years. He explains the unConference as, “A conference designed for entrepreneurs and the folks who want to lend a hand. It’s an unConference, so all the sessions are created by the attendees on the day of the event. No podiums. No panels. Everyone is on the same level.”

The MassTLC Innovation unConference was started and now continuing on to create lasting connections, conversations and to help stem creativity. On behalf of the Connectors, we hope that women entrepreneurs and mentors will make up half the crowd this year! Let’s show the world that Boston is the BEST place for women in tech, for women entrepreneurs and for women who work in startups. The number one place for women with new, bold, and disruptive ideas to flourish.

There are over 100 volunteer experts from the Boston community who have signed on for this year's unConference. These experts are people who have started successful companies, venture capitalists, angel investors and technical founders who want to be involved so they can encourage entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams. The unConference experts will be giving 1 on 1 sessions to the selected group of sponsored entrepreneurs. (That doesn’t mean that they wont be there for everyone else at the conference.) Their presence and involvement shows a solid understanding and personal willingness to help entrepreneurs start great companies.
